KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: Kuwait has been placed in a balanced Group B for the 11th Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship, which will be held in Jordan from August 20 to 31.

Kuwait will face Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, and Syria in the group stage, while Group A features host Jordan, South Korea, Bahrain, India, and Uzbekistan.

The draw was held yesterday at the Asian Handball Federation headquarters in Kuwait, with AHF President Bader Al-Dhayab welcoming the participating teams and delegations.

Al-Dhayab expressed his best wishes for a successful tournament and praised the teams for maintaining their commitment to compete despite the current circumstances in the region.

The draw was conducted again following the withdrawals of Japan and Chinese Taipei. It was supervised by AHF Technical Director Jassem Al-Dhayab.

The tournament carries added significance as it serves as a qualifier for the 2027 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship. The 10 participating teams will compete for four places at the global tournament.
