KUWAIT CITY, Mar 22: The Kuwaiti Armed Forces have intercepted and destroyed several hostile drones detected within the country’s airspace over the past 24 hours, according to an official statement.
Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, said a total of seven drones were monitored, with four successfully intercepted and destroyed. The remaining three fell outside the designated threat area and posed no danger.
He added that the sounds of explosions reported in various parts of the country were the result of interception operations, as well as activities carried out by explosive ordnance disposal teams during routine field tasks.
The Armed Forces reaffirmed their full readiness to defend the nation, stressing their commitment to safeguarding Kuwait’s security and preserving its sovereignty.
