Kuwait Downs a Drone and 4 UAVs in Early Morning Security Operation

KUWAIT CITY, March 19: The National Guard announced the successful interception and destruction of 1 drone and 4 UAVs in the early hours of Thursday, as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national security.

Brigadier General Dr. Jad’an Fadel Jad’an, official spokesperson for the National Guard, said in a press statement that a task force operating in designated security zones shot down one drone and four additional unmanned aerial vehicles within areas under its responsibility.

He noted that the operation falls within intensified measures aimed at protecting vital installations and countering potential threats amid heightened regional tensions.

The spokesperson urged the public to strictly follow safety and security guidelines issued by relevant authorities, emphasizing the importance of public cooperation in maintaining stability.

He further affirmed that National Guard forces remain on high alert, working in close coordination with the Army, Police, and Fire Service to respond decisively to any threats. He stressed that all security agencies are fully prepared to confront attempts to undermine the country’s safety, ensuring the protection of national sovereignty, key resources, and overall stability.
