ISLAMABAD, June 20: The State of Kuwait on Tuesday donated nearly one million US dollars to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan for the victims of recent devastating fl oods in the country.

This is part of the direct Kuwaiti financial contributions in addition to other financial contributions that were directed through the specialized agencies of the United Nations, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Pakistani Nassar Almutairi said in a statement to KUNA.

These donations come along with the various relief activities and the campaign by the people of Kuwait, citizens and residents in support of the fl ood victims of Pakistan, which exceeds the amount of USD two million that was distributed on time in the devastated areas by the Kuwait Red Crescent and NGOs, he said (KUNA)
