KUWAIT CITY July 31: The Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) has officially dissolved 11 public benefit associations after they failed to regularize their legal status within the allotted deadline, despite receiving three formal warnings, the ministry announced on Wednesday.
In a press statement, the ministry affirmed that this decision comes as part of its broader efforts to regulate the activities of non-profit organizations, ensuring their adherence to legal frameworks and reinforcing public trust in their operations.
The dissolved associations did not take the necessary steps to rectify their legal standing as required by law and the ministry's bylaws. The failure to comply prompted MoSA to proceed with dissolution in accordance with the relevant regulations.
The ministry emphasized its ongoing commitment to fostering a robust and well-regulated environment for civil society organizations, one that promotes orderly and institutional work. It also reiterated its support and guidance to all non-profit entities in enhancing their operational standards and aligning with legal requirements, thereby contributing to the nation’s broader development goals.
