Kuwait discusses investment, economic ties with Pakistan and Georgia

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Minister of Finance, and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, held separate meetings on Monday with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kuwait, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, and the Ambassador of Georgia to Kuwait, Noshrevan Lomtatizde, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in investment and economic cooperation.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Finance, Minister Al-Mukhaizeem’s meeting with the Pakistani ambassador highlighted the long-standing and distinguished relations between Kuwait and Pakistan across various fields of mutual interest, including economic and investment cooperation, as well as collaboration in the health and industrial sectors.

The discussions with the Georgian ambassador focused on enhancing existing bilateral ties in the economic, investment, and tourism sectors, reviewing available and promising investment opportunities, and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The Ministry stated that negotiations on a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint committee for economic cooperation between Kuwait and Georgia were finalized during the meetings and are expected to be signed soon.
