KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: The Ministry of Social Affairs has disbursed social assistance payments for September and October 2025 to 2,130 beneficiaries whose citizenship was revoked and who were previously covered under the provisions of Article 8, following amendments to their legal status and completion of regulatory requirements, Undersecretary Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi announced Wednesday.
In a press statement, Al-Ajmi confirmed that procedures to transfer funds to local banks have been finalized, with deposits expected in beneficiaries’ accounts in the coming days. He emphasized that this move aligns with directives from the political leadership and the ministry’s commitment to ensuring aid reaches its rightful recipients.
The ministry recently adopted a comprehensive plan to review beneficiary files in this category, ensuring seriousness and compliance with required procedures. Al-Ajmi described this disbursement as the result of extensive efforts to tighten control over aid mechanisms, update beneficiary data, and treat affected individuals similarly to Kuwaiti women regarding social benefits.
He added that the ministry is working to standardize eligibility criteria and increase transparency in aid distribution, reinforcing the state’s dedication to integrated social care.
Regarding beneficiaries whose nationalities were revoked under the previous Article 5, Al-Ajmi said legal procedures are nearing completion, with aid payments expected soon after all formalities are finalized. He stressed the ministry’s commitment to managing this category with seriousness, ensuring justice, and protecting public funds.
Al-Ajmi highlighted that the ministry follows a clear policy based on fairness and transparency, providing support without discrimination to all qualified individuals from both Article 5 and Article 8 categories. This approach reflects the vision of the country’s political leadership to strengthen social security and family stability in Kuwait.
