Kuwait Deports Nepali Expat Wanted For Human Trafficking

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: In a high-stakes operation, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has deported a Nepalese expatriate, identified as (K. Sh.), on charges of human trafficking and migrant smuggling. The man, who had been living quietly in Kuwait, was dramatically unmasked after Nepalese security authorities sent an international memorandum detailing his crimes, complete with proof issued by their judiciary.

The revelations painted a dark picture; the accused had allegedly trafficked fellow Nepali citizens, exploiting their desperation and profiting from their misery. Questions still loom over whether he played a role in the deaths of several Nepalese expatriates who perished while attempting to flee toward Europe.

Acting swiftly, Kuwaiti detectives tracked the man down in the crowded district of Jleeb, ending his double life. Though investigators confirmed no evidence of his running trafficking operations on Kuwaiti soil, sources say that if he had, he would have faced justice locally before being expelled. On Tuesday evening, the accused was handed over to Nepalese authorities upon arrival in Kathmandu—his fate now sealed in the courts of his homeland.
