Kuwait Denounces Strike on Oman's Salalah Port

KUWAIT CITY, March 11: The Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned what it described as Iranian aggression targeting the Port of Salalah in Oman, an attack that caused damage to several fuel storage tanks at the port.

In a statement, the ministry said that targeting ports and economic facilities represents a dangerous escalation that threatens international trade and the safety of vital infrastructure.

The ministry warned that such actions undermine efforts aimed at strengthening regional security and stability, particularly at a time when safeguarding maritime routes and economic installations remains critical.

Kuwait also expressed full solidarity with Oman, affirming its support for all measures taken by the Sultanate to protect its security, safeguard vital facilities, and preserve stability.

The statement reiterated Kuwait’s firm stance against attacks on critical infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of respecting international norms and maintaining stability in the region.
