Kuwait Denies Mall Security Incident, Urges Public to Avoid Rumors

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 28: The Ministry of Interior has clarified that reports circulating on social media about a security threat or incident at a shopping mall are incorrect, confirming that the situation is normal and there is no cause for concern.

In its statement, the ministry said that the visible security presence and deployments at various sites are part of routine procedures and approved preventive security plans, particularly in light of current regional conditions. It added that these measures are intended to enhance preparedness, secure vital and commercial locations, and ensure public safety.

The ministry urged the public to verify information before sharing it and avoid spreading unconfirmed reports, warning that legal action will be taken against those who circulate rumors or false news.
