Kuwait Defense Ministry Warns Against Fake Social Media Account Impersonating Defense Minister

KUWAIT CITY, July 29: Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense has warned the public that a social media account claiming to belong to Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah is not authentic and does not represent him.

The ministry’s official spokesperson, Brigadier General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, said the account circulating on one of the social media platforms and attributed to the minister does not belong to him.

Al-Otaibi confirmed that the Defense Minister does not maintain any official accounts on social media platforms and urged the public to rely only on verified information issued through the official channels of the Ministry of Defense.

He also called on users to avoid sharing or circulating content published by unverified accounts to prevent the spread of false information.
