KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: Kuwait has been declared totally free of a potentially fatal horse disease known as glanders, its agriculture and fisheries authority said on Saturday, citing a report by a global animal health body. The announcement by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) proves that local horses are not infected with glanders, the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources (PAAFR) said in a statement, hailing it as a national success story.
