KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: Kuwait Municipality, in coordination with the relevant authorities, has disconnected electricity from four properties in the Capital Governorate after they were found to violate regulations prohibiting bachelor housing in residential areas.
Ghanem Al-Shammari, head of the municipality’s inspection team in the Capital Governorate, said the municipality had previously warned the properties after identifying houses occupied by single men in residential areas. However, no corrective action was taken, prompting the authorities to disconnect electricity. He stressed that all necessary regulatory measures would be taken against violators to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Al-Shammari added that an inspection tour on Wednesday also resulted in two violations being recorded and nine warnings being issued at locations in the Doha and Sulaibikhat areas. He warned that further action would be taken if violations involving bachelor housing continue.
