Kuwait Customs seize hashish hidden inside passenger’s body from London

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: Kuwaiti customs officers at Kuwait International Airport Terminal 4 thwarted an attempt to smuggle hashish hidden inside the body of a European passenger arriving from London.

The Customs Investigation and Search Department, in coordination with airport customs authorities, said the passenger was placed under immediate surveillance after receiving intelligence about the smuggling attempt.

Officials initially seized 312 grams of hashish from the traveler, who was then transferred to Farwaniya Hospital for medical procedures to extract the remaining concealed drugs. Following the intervention, authorities confirmed that the total amount of hashish involved reached 412 grams.

The case underscores the vigilance of Kuwaiti customs in detecting and preventing sophisticated drug smuggling methods targeting the country.
