KUWAIT CITY, Aug. 6: Customs inspectors at the Sulaibiya and Vegetable Market Customs Department have foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of various food supplies hidden inside trucks heading to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The seizure was made during routine inspection operations, where customs officers discovered the concealed food items inside the trucks in violation of applicable regulations. Legal procedures were initiated against those involved, and the case was referred to the relevant authorities for further action.

The General Administration of Customs reaffirmed that it will continue strengthening inspections at all customs ports and taking strict action against smuggling attempts to protect economic security, preserve national resources and enforce Kuwait’s laws and regulations.
