Kuwait Customs authorities have thwarted an attempt to smuggle the synthetic drug known as “chemical” concealed in a postal parcel arriving from London, United Kingdom.

The Customs Investigation and Search Department of the General Administration of Customs, in coordination with the General Administration for Drug Control, uncovered the shipment following surveillance and detailed investigations.

Authorities said the suspicious parcel weighed around 800 grams and contained A4-sized paper sheets soaked in a liquid suspected to be the synthetic narcotic substance.

When the recipient arrived to collect the parcel, officers from the Drug Control Department arrested him. Legal procedures were initiated, and the suspect along with the seized items were referred for further investigation.

Kuwait Customs reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening inspection measures and preventing attempts to smuggle prohibited substances into the country to protect public safety.
