Kuwait Customs Conducts Inspection Tour to Ensure Smooth Port Operations

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 27: The General Administration of Customs in Kuwait has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining operational efficiency through continuous field monitoring, as Deputy Director General for Ports, Search, and Customs Investigation Affairs, Saleh Mohammed Al-Omar, carried out an inspection tour across key locations.

The visit covered Shuwaikh Port, the Northern Ports Customs Department, and Failaka Island, including a detailed review of operations at the Customs Container Inspection Center and its specialized units. Officials briefed him on workflow processes, field readiness, and ongoing operations.

Al-Omar stressed the importance of strengthening coordination with the Kuwait Ports Authority, the Ministry of Interior, and other relevant bodies to ensure the smooth flow of shipments and uninterrupted operations. He noted that procedures are currently progressing efficiently under the approved emergency plan, reflecting the system’s readiness to handle evolving challenges.

He also praised customs personnel for their role in supporting national security and economic stability, emphasizing the need to sustain high performance levels and continue field inspections to enhance discipline and preparedness, while advancing development plans in line with global changes in customs operations.
