Kuwait Customs auction raises KD109,100 in revenues

KUWAIT CITY, June 15: The General Administration of Customs (GAC) announced that the total value collected from a public auction held last Tuesday in Sulaibiya reached KD 109,100, reports Al-Anba daily. GAC indicated that this amount will contribute to strengthening state revenues as part of its strategic objectives. The daily had reported on June 8 that the auction was being held to sell 2,625 cartons of cigarettes, 230 boxes of shisha tobacco, a 20-foot container of paper cups and plastic lids, another 20-foot container of nails, a container of porcelain tiles, and a 40-foot container of wood.
