KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: The Ministry of Interior announced that its security agencies, represented by the State Security Service, have successfully dismantled a terrorist financing network affiliated with a banned organization. The network had been operating with the intent to undermine Kuwait’s national security and destabilize public order.
According to the Ministry, comprehensive investigations uncovered that the suspects were involved in smuggling medicines and transferring funds abroad to support and finance the activities of the banned terrorist organization. Through meticulous field surveillance and monitoring operations, security forces managed to apprehend several individuals connected to the network.
Evidence and materials seized during the arrests confirmed the group’s involvement in illicit financing operations. Investigations also revealed that the suspects had facilitated the operation of a pharmacy within a private hospital in Kuwait, using it as a front to serve the objectives of the terrorist group.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to safeguarding Kuwait’s stability and protecting its citizens and residents. It stressed that the authorities will remain vigilant against any attempts to compromise the nation’s security or support terrorist organizations in any capacity.
