Kuwait cruises past India in the Futsal Asian Cup qualifying opener

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: Kuwait’s national futsal team defeated India 4-1 in the opening match of Group A of the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers, held at Al-Nasr Club Hall.

Al-Azraq’s goals were scored by Saleh Al-Fadhel, Abdulaziz Al-Sarraj, Mohammed Al-Ajmi, and Ali Al-Abbasi, earning the team its first three points of the qualifiers.

In the other match of the same group, Australia swept past Mongolia with an 8-1 victory to top the standings on goal difference ahead of Kuwait.

Today, the second round of matches will be played, with Australia facing India at 4:00 p.m., while Kuwait takes on Mongolia at 8:00 p.m., looking to continue its winning momentum and strengthen its qualification chances.
