KUWAIT CITY, April 28: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation has imposed stricter penalties on violators in the air transport market, obliging them to fully comply with Circular No. 12 of 2026 on refunding ticket and hotel bookings within a period not exceeding 15 working days, to safeguard passengers’ rights.

In a press statement, the Complaints and Arbitration Committee Rapporteur Hamad Al-Arada said that the sixth meeting of the current year resulted in penalties against those violating laws, regulations, decisions, and circulars issued by the authority. He added that the committee emphasized the need for market entities to cooperate with passengers at the present time regarding ticket and booking refunds in line with regulations governing the air transport sector in Kuwait. He noted that the meeting also reviewed the outcomes of inspection campaigns to ensure compliance with approved procedures.(KUNA)
