KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: The Kuwait Municipality’s Spring Camping Committee has dismantled 124 unlicensed campsites found operating without permits and set up outside designated camping zones. According to the Municipality, 87 of the illegal camps were located in the southern region, while 37 were identified in the northern region. In addition, the committee issued 100 warnings and two citations to street vendors operating in violation of municipal regulations.
The Municipality stated that the committee launched its operations under the directives of the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdul Latif Al-Mashari, along with the guidance of Municipality Director General Manal Al-Asfour. The campaign was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the General Fire Force, and the Environment Public Authority.
The Public Relations Department emphasized that the Spring Camping Committee will continue its field inspections across all camping areas. Its teams will work to prevent the establishment of any unauthorized camps and ensure full compliance with Kuwait Municipality’s regulations and decisions.
