KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: The Ministry of Interior has intensified its crackdown on online violations, with the Cybercrime department announcing the completion of a wide-scale security campaign that uncovered 48 legal breaches across various digital platforms.

According to the Ministry, the violations included the publication of content that undermines public morals, promotes debauchery and immoral behavior, insults or defames individuals, encourages acts that contravene the law, and posts that offend neighboring countries. The campaign also succeeded in identifying and seizing a number of fake accounts used to disseminate prohibited and illicit material.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that legal measures have been initiated against all individuals involved, with the respective cases referred to the competent authorities for further action and completion of the necessary judicial procedures.

Authorities stressed that cybercrime surveillance teams continue their operations around the clock to safeguard society, protect public morality, and maintain a secure digital environment. The Ministry also urged users of social media and digital platforms to abide by the law and exercise responsibility when posting content, emphasizing that freedom of expression cannot be used as a justification for insults, offenses, or actions harmful to public order.
