KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5 : Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has warned delivery companies and their drivers to strictly comply with traffic regulations, saying violators will face legal action, including the impoundment of their motorcycles or vehicles for two months.
The warning came during a meeting held Sunday, October 4, by Head of the Traffic and Operations Sector Brigadier General Ahmed Fahad Al-Azmi with representatives of delivery companies. The meeting was attended by Director General of the General Traffic Department Brigadier General Rashid Hamoud Al-Hajri and other senior traffic officials.
The meeting, held under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, focused on improving traffic compliance and raising awareness among delivery vehicle and motorcycle drivers. The ministry stressed that delivery companies are responsible for educating and monitoring their drivers and ensuring they comply with traffic laws to protect themselves and other road users.
The ministry said field teams have detected traffic violations committed by some delivery drivers and confirmed that legal measures will be taken against violators. It also stressed that field monitoring will continue and called on delivery companies to closely supervise their drivers to enhance road safety and protect lives and property.
