KUWAIT CITY, July 22: Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Industry (PAI), Khalifa Al-Ajeel, affirmed on Monday that protecting the integrity of Kuwait’s commercial and industrial system is a national responsibility that demands unified and concerted efforts from all concerned bodies.

Al-Ajeel made the statement during a comprehensive inspection campaign in the scrap yard located south of Amghara. He emphasized the government's firm stance on addressing violations, declaring that all infringements and encroachments will be dealt with “strictly within the legal framework,” asserting that “no one is above the law.”

He noted that the inspection campaigns will continue until the government’s objectives are met—chief among them being restoring order, eliminating violations, and establishing full compliance with industrial and commercial regulations. These efforts, he explained, align with the state’s ongoing strategy to enforce the law and enhance oversight across commercial and industrial zones.

Al-Ajeel further reiterated the commitment of both the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Public Authority for Industry, in collaboration with other relevant entities, to intensify inspection campaigns and ensure the creation of a safe, regulated, and sustainable industrial and commercial environment.

The latest campaign led to the identification of numerous violations and the closure of several non-compliant plots, with legal actions now being prepared against the violators.

The inspection was conducted with the active participation of Major General Talal Al-Roumi, Chief of the General Fire Force, along with senior officials from the Public Authority for Industry, inspectors from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and personnel from the General Fire Force. Their presence highlighted the importance of inter-agency cooperation in enforcing regulatory compliance and maintaining order within industrial zones.
