KUWAIT CITY, May 16: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, through its Jahra Governorate Inspection Oversight team, carried out intensive inspection campaigns at the Central Vegetable and Fruit Market and its affiliated inspection centers, covering around 280 food establishments.

During the field tours, inspectors recorded 52 violations across various food storage facilities and also seized quantities of spoiled vegetables and fruits that had been prepared for distribution at retail sales points. Legal measures were immediately taken against the violators in accordance with applicable regulations.

The Authority said the violations included trading in food items unfit for human consumption, selling adulterated products, non-compliance with health requirements, and failure to adhere to general hygiene standards.

Reaffirming its commitment to food safety, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition stated that inspection campaigns will continue across Jahra Governorate to strengthen regulatory oversight, ensure food safety standards, and protect public health.
