Kuwait Court Sentences Kuwaiti to Three Years for Supporting Hezbollah, Houthis

KUWAIT CITY, July 11: The State Security Court of Appeals overturned the acquittal of former National Assembly candidate Ali Nassir on charges of broadcasting false news, suspended the implementation of his sentence, and required him to pay KD3,000 bail, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The court sentenced a citizen to three years in prison for promoting and supporting Hezbollah and the Houthi group, as well as inciting sectarian strife. The court upheld the suspension of the sentence imposed on a female journalist for supporting and sympathizing with Hezbollah.
