Kuwait Court Sentences Kuwaiti Citizen to 3 Months in Jail for Assaulting Wife

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 24: Kuwait’s Misdemeanor Court has sentenced a citizen to three months in prison for assaulting his wife following an altercation between the couple.

The court convicted the defendant under the provisions of Kuwait’s Family Violence Protection Law and ordered a three-month prison sentence.

However, enforcement of the sentence has been suspended pending the final outcome of the case, with the defendant granted bail of KD300.

The ruling remains subject to the applicable legal procedures and will take effect once it becomes final.
