KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: The Misdemeanor Court of the Court of First Instance has decided to refrain from pronouncing a sentence against a Kuwaiti citizen accused of impersonating a police officer by wearing a uniform bearing the rank of colonel.

According to the case details, a security patrol became suspicious of the defendant while he was standing outside a gas station wearing the uniform. When officers approached him and asked him to identify himself, he fled the scene.

The suspect was subsequently apprehended and referred to the competent authorities for legal action.

Lawyer Nasser Akleefikh Al-Ajmi, representing the defendant, requested leniency and asked the court to impose the minimum possible penalty, taking into consideration the circumstances of the case.

After reviewing the case, the court decided to refrain from pronouncing a sentence against the defendant.
