Kuwait Court Orders Heirs Not to Interfere With Mother’s Right to Husband’s Property

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 17 : The Civil Court has ruled in favor of a mother who sought to exercise her right to enter and benefit from property belonging to her deceased husband after his heirs prevented her from doing so.

The court established the mother’s right to benefit from the property, which her husband had arranged for her during his lifetime, and ordered the heirs not to interfere with her exercise of that right for the duration of her life.

Based on the expert report and evidence presented in the case, the court assessed the value of the right to benefit at KD 21,000.

The court also ordered the heirs to pay the legal costs and attorney fees.
