KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: The Supreme Judicial Council announced on Tuesday that the Court of First Instance handled a total of 115,704 cases during the first quarter of the 2025-2026 judicial year, spanning October 1 to December 31, 2025.

In a statement, the council detailed the breakdown of cases across the court’s divisions, reporting 58,502 cases in the criminal divisions, 50,858 cases in the civil divisions—which include all divisions except criminal and family—and 6,344 cases in the family divisions.

The Supreme Judicial Council said these figures reflect the Court of First Instance’s ongoing efforts to process cases efficiently across Kuwait’s judicial system.
