Kuwait confirms strong participation in Doha Gulf Games with 127 athletes

DOHA, May 11 (KUNA): Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahma announced that Kuwait will participate in the 4th Gulf Games in Doha with a delegation of 127 male and female athletes, as the event runs from May 11 to 22.

In statements to KUNA, Al-Jalahma emphasized the importance of Kuwait’s participation in strengthening sports cooperation among Gulf countries and reinforcing ties between Gulf youth.

His remarks came during a reception hosted by Kuwait’s Ambassador to Qatar, Ahmad Al-Shuraim, in honor of the Kuwaiti delegation attending the Games.

The minister wished the athletes success in achieving strong results that would raise Kuwait’s flag in regional and international sporting arenas. He also expressed gratitude to the event’s organizing committee for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, extending his best wishes to all participating athletes and teams.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Shuraim welcomed Kuwait’s participation, noting that such high-level gatherings help deepen integration and cooperation among GCC member states.

He also thanked Qatar for its excellent organization and hospitality, wishing success to all Gulf nations taking part in the competition.
