Kuwait Condemns Second Attack on UAE Consulate in Iraq

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 14: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned a new attack on the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates, marking the second assault on the diplomatic mission within a week. The incident caused injuries to several security personnel and damaged the consulate building.

In a statement, the ministry emphasized that attacks on diplomatic missions violate international law and diplomatic norms, citing the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations.

The ministry reiterated Kuwait’s rejection of such aggressions, expressed full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, and affirmed support for all measures to strengthen the security of its diplomatic missions and protect their personnel.
