Kuwait Condemns ‘Repeated Iranian Aggressions,’ Reserves Right to Defend Its Territory

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 6: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday strongly condemned what it described as Iran’s “sinful and repeated aggressions,” following the latest incident that occurred in the early hours of the morning and was said to have threatened Kuwait’s security and regional stability.

In an official statement, the ministry denounced the attacks in the strongest terms, accusing Iran of disregarding international calls to cease such actions and showing indifference to the dangers posed to the lives of citizens and residents, as well as to the security of the Gulf region.

Kuwait said the actions constituted a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, national security and territorial integrity, while also representing a breach of international law, the United Nations Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026.

The ministry warned that the attacks mark a dangerous escalation at a time when international efforts are focused on halting hostilities and preventing the region from sliding into further instability.

Reaffirming Kuwait’s position, the Foreign Ministry stressed that such aggressions cannot be justified or accepted under any circumstances. It also underscored that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its security, protect its territory and defend its vital facilities against any threat or aggression.

The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and growing international calls for de-escalation and the protection of regional security.
