KUWAIT CITY, Jul 13: Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the continued attacks targeting the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Basra, calling them an unacceptable violation of the consulate's inviolability and a breach of Iraq's obligations under the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations.

In a statement issued Monday, the ministry acknowledged the Iraqi government's efforts to counter the attacks but urged Baghdad to take immediate and decisive action to identify and hold those responsible accountable, prevent any recurrence, and ensure the protection and security of Kuwait's diplomatic and consular missions, as well as their personnel, in Iraq.
