KUWAIT CITY, Jun 28: Kuwait on Sunday strongly condemned the renewed Iranian drone attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain for a second consecutive day, describing them as a blatant violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks caused material damage to civilian property and endangered the safety of Bahrain’s citizens and residents.
The ministry warned that Iran’s continued targeting of Bahrain represents a dangerous escalation that undermines efforts to de-escalate tensions and threatens security and stability across the region. It added that the attacks constitute a clear violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
Kuwait reaffirmed its full solidarity with Bahrain and expressed support for all measures taken by the kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security.
The ministry also stressed that Bahrain’s security is an integral part of the collective security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
