Kuwait Condemns Israeli Attacks on Southern Lebanon

KUWAIT CITY, March 13: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait on Friday strongly condemned attacks by Israel on southern Lebanon, describing them as a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

In a statement, the ministry said the strikes constitute a clear breach of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which calls for the cessation of hostilities and respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Kuwait urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by taking steps to deter what it described as repeated Israeli aggressions against Lebanese territory. The ministry emphasized the need to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to adhere to relevant international resolutions and agreements.

The statement also reaffirmed Kuwait’s firm and supportive stance toward Lebanon, expressing solidarity with the country in safeguarding its sovereignty, territorial unity, security and stability.
