KUWAIT CITY, June 28: Kuwait has strongly condemned an Iranian drone attack targeting the territory of Bahrain, describing it as a violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack represented a "flagrant violation" of Bahrain’s sovereignty, a direct threat to the safety of citizens and residents, and a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The ministry warned that continued attacks amid ongoing international efforts to reduce tensions and promote de-escalation would undermine peace efforts and further threaten security across the region.

Kuwait reaffirmed its full solidarity with Bahrain and expressed its support for all measures taken by the kingdom to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The statement comes amid rising Gulf tensions following a series of military exchanges in the region involving Iran, the United States, and neighbouring Gulf states.
