Kuwait Condemns Iran, Proxies Over Drone Attack on Abdali Border Crossing

KUWAIT CITY, July 23: Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday strongly condemned what it described as the continued aggression by Iran and its proxies after hostile drones targeted the Abdali border crossing, calling the attack a flagrant violation of the country's sovereignty and a serious threat to its security and stability.

In a statement, the ministry said the drone attacks constituted a grave breach of international law, the United Nations Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.

The ministry warned that the repeated attacks represent a dangerous escalation that threatens regional peace and security, describing them as part of a systematic and unjustifiable hostile approach.

Reaffirming Kuwait's position, the ministry stressed that the State of Kuwait reserves its full and legitimate right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and will take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its territory and national capabilities, and preserve the country's security and stability.
