KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: Kuwait on Thursday strongly condemned a Houthi drone attack targeting Taif Governorate in Saudi Arabia, which resulted in one death, two injuries and material damage after the drone was intercepted.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a “flagrant violation” of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

Kuwait expressed its absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia, affirming its support for measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability and protect citizens and residents on its territory.

The Foreign Ministry also extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

The statement comes amid continued Houthi attacks targeting Saudi territory, including areas near the Kingdom’s major cities and sensitive sites.
