KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25: In a demonstration of Kuwait’s continued focus on military preparedness, Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shariaan, conducted a field visit on Wednesday to Mohammed Al-Ahmad Naval Base, where he was received by Commander of the Naval Force Major General Saif Al-Hamlan and several senior officers.
The visit included a practical naval display showcasing the operational readiness and tactical capabilities of the naval force. The Chief of Staff observed the high level of training and discipline demonstrated by the naval units during the exercises, which reflected their ability to handle various operational tasks with competence and professionalism.
In a press statement issued following the visit, Lt. Gen. Al-Shariaan expressed his strong commitment to the continued development of the naval force, emphasizing efforts to enhance both human and combat capabilities in line with the latest military systems and technologies. He highlighted the importance of maintaining high readiness to ensure efficient and effective performance in all assigned missions.
The Chief of Staff praised the pivotal role played by the Kuwaiti Naval Force in protecting the nation's coasts and territorial waters, as well as in securing maritime navigation lines. He expressed appreciation for the dedication and sincere efforts of naval personnel in defending the homeland and preserving national assets.
As part of the visit, Lt. Gen. Al-Shariaan received a comprehensive briefing on the roles, responsibilities, and technical capabilities of the naval base. He also toured several of the base’s key facilities and inspected modern armament systems and equipment.
He concluded by wishing the naval force continued success in their service to the nation, reaffirming the army’s commitment to strengthening Kuwait’s defense capabilities across all branches.
