KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Kuwait Club aims to top Group Two of the West Asia Super League (Gulf Zone) when it visits Qatar’s Al Arabi tonight at 7:00 pm in the Al Gharafa Club Hall, as part of the fourth round of the tournament.

The “Whites” currently sit third with five points, having won two games and lost one, while Al Arabi is fourth with four points from one victory and two defeats. The Saudi side, Al Ula, leads the group with six points, just ahead of Sharjah of the UAE on point difference.

Kuwait Club hopes to secure an away win, which would boost its chances of topping the group and qualifying directly for the second round. According to the tournament format, group winners advance straight to the semi-finals, while the second- and third-placed teams face off in a playoff to decide the other semi-final spot. The finalists then join teams from Central Asia for the final stages.

Kuwait Club is in excellent form, leading the domestic league unbeaten, and Serbian coach Dusan Stokovic expects his team to maintain that momentum against a determined Al Arabi side.

Stokovic will rely on players Hamad, Mohammed Adnan, Alexander Al-Ghais, Turki Hamoud, and Imran Johar, alongside imports Charlie Moore, Jamal Jones, and Frenchman Geoffrey Lauvergne.

Al Arabi, meanwhile, will look to Bosnian Almedin Kikanovic, American Ismail Diallo, and Bahraini Mustafa Rashid (“Mosti”) to guide it to victory.
