KUWAIT CITY, June 18: Kuwait Club has officially renewed the contracts of veteran midfielder Ahmed Al-Dhafiri and standout goalkeeper Saud Al-Hoshan, though the club has not disclosed the duration or financial terms of the agreements.
Al-Dhafiri, 33, has been a consistent performer for the "Whites" since joining from Al-Qadsiya three seasons ago. His experience and leadership played a crucial role in the Kuwait Club’s historic treble in the 2024–2025 season, which included the Super Cup, Zain Premier League title, and the Crown Prince Cup. He also helped the team reach the final of the Amir Cup, which was postponed due to the current regional circumstances.
Previously, Al-Dhafiri enjoyed a long stint with Al-Qadsiya from 2013 to 2022, including a loan move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Qadsiya in 2017. On the international stage, he has earned 63 caps with the Kuwait national team, scoring three goals.
Throughout his club career, Al-Dhafiri contributed to multiple championship victories. With Al-Qadsia, he secured league titles in the 2013–14 and 2015–16 seasons, the Federation Cup in 2018–19, the Amir Cup in 2014–15, the Crown Prince Cup in 2013–14 and 2017–18, and the prestigious AFC Cup and Super Cup in 2014.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Saud Al-Hoshan has solidified his place as a key figure in Kuwait Club’s starting lineup. His impressive performances have also earned him recent call-ups to the national team, reflecting his growing prominence between the posts.
The renewal of both contracts signals Kuwait SC’s commitment to maintaining a stable and competitive squad heading into the new season.
