TUNIS, Sept 22: The Kuwaiti team of Kuwait Club won against the UAE (Sharjah) 30-26 in the quarter-finals of the Arab Handball Championship, which is currently being hosted by Tunisia.
On Sunday Kuwait Club will face the Egyptian club Zamalek in the semi-finals of the Arab Handball Championship, as the latter topped the standings of the second group, after winning all its matches against Esperance of Tunisia, Kuwait Club and Mouloudia Algiers. Zamalek was exempted from the quarter-finals due to the withdrawal of its Algerian team Amal Skikda to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament directly.
