KUWAIT CITY, Feb 26:  Kuwait Club secured the Football Super Cup title for the 2023-2024 season, marking its 16th edition, with a thrilling victory over Kazma in the final match with a scoreline of 2-1. The game saw Kazma taking the lead with a goal by Opeyemi Benjamin in the 33rd minute, swiftly followed by a leveling goal from Arsene Zola for Kuwait in the 36th minute. Kuwait's Amr Abdel Fattah then sealed the victory with a goal in the 57th minute.

This triumph adds to Al-Kuwait Club's illustrious history in the Super Cup, marking their seventh title win, surpassing Al-Qadisiyah with six titles and Al-Arabi with three. The Super Cup Championship, inaugurated in 2008, is an official tournament organized by the Kuwaiti Football Association, featuring a single match showdown between the winners of the Premier League and the Emir’s Cup from the previous season.

Notably, this season's tournament adopted a unique format, bringing together four prominent teams: Al-Qadisiyah, Kuwait, Al-Arabi, and Kazma. Al-Kuwait emerged victorious over Al-Qadisiyah in the initial match, while Kazma secured their spot in the final by defeating Al-Arabi in a closely contested encounter, leading to an exciting showdown between Kuwait and Kazma for the championship title.
