KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: The Kuwait Club continued its dominance at the top of the Volleyball Federation League standings with a 3-1 victory over Burgan at the Volleyball Federation Hall in Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex. The set scores were 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 26-24. This win came during the eighth round of the championship.

Meanwhile, Al-Shabab secured a 3-0 win over Al-Nasr, with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 25-18, reinforcing its position as a strong contender in the tournament.

League standings   :

Kuwait club – 12 points (perfect record)

Kazma – 9 points

Al-Shabab – 8 points

Al-Yarmouk – 6 points

Al-Qadsia and Burgan – 5 points each

Al-Arabi – 2 points

Al-Sulaibikhat – 1 point

Al-Nasr – 0 points

Kuwait Club dominated the match against Burgan, who offered a strong challenge, as reflected in the set scores. However, the experience of Kuwait Club’s squad, led by captain Abdullah Jassim, ensured the win, keeping the team unbeaten at the top. Burgan has now won only one match and lost three.

Al-Shabab, meanwhile, continues to impress as the dark horse of the league, winning three of four matches so far, with victories over Al-Arabi, Al-Sulaibikhat, and Al-Nasr, and their only loss coming against Kuwait Club.
