Players challenge for the ball during a league game.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: The postponed matches from the sixth round of the Zain Premier League kick off, with Al-Arabi hosting Al-Tadamon at 4:05 PM at Abdullah Al-Khalifa Stadium, and Kuwait Club facing Al-Fahaheel at 6:45 PM at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium.

The matches were delayed since September due to Kuwait Club and Al-Arabi participating in the AFC Challenge League.

Kuwait Club, fresh off a 2-0 Amir Cup final win over Al-Arabi, tops the league with 19 points. Coach Montenegrin Aron Kristanson aims to maintain momentum and secure the club’s 21st league title. Al-Fahaheel, sixth with 13 points, remains unbeaten in its last four matches and will be a tough opponent.

Al-Arabi, second with 17 points, seeks to bounce back from the Amir Cup loss. Coach Nasser Al-Shatti hopes a win will boost morale and reduce the gap with Kuwait Club. Ninth-placed Al-Tadamon, with five points, looks to exploit Al-Arabi’s pressure for their second league victory, having narrowly lost to Al-Fahaheel 0-1 and drawn 1-1 with Al-Shabab in recent rounds.

Fans can expect competitive matches as the league race continues.
