Kuwait Club faces tough competition in Group A

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 4: The draw for the Federation Cup in Basketball took place at the Federation’s headquarters in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex, setting the stage for intense competitions. The defending champion, Kuwait Cub placed in Group A alongside Al-Nasr, Al-Tadamon, Al-Sulaibkhat, and Kazma. Group B featured Al-Qadisiya , the runner-up in the previous edition, along with Yarmouk, Al-Qurain, and Al-Arabi.

The tournament will follow a knockout system, with notable matchups in the preliminary round, including Al-Nasr taking on  Al-Tadamon, Al-Sulaibikhat playing Kazma, Al-Qadisiya locking horns with Yarmouk, and Al-Arabi against Al-Qurain.

In the U-19 youth category, the draw unveiled exciting confrontations: Al-Qurain play  Al-Yarmouk, Al-Tadamon meet Kazma, Al-Kuwait face Al-Qadisiya, and Al-Arabi versus Al-Jahra. The U-17 Federation Cup draw featured matchups like Yarmouk against Al-Nasr, Al-Jahra meet Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Qurain face Kazma, and Al-Arabi versus Al-Sahel.

Moving to the U-15 Cubs category, the draw led to clashes between Kazma and Al-Arabi, Al-Qurain vs Al-Shabab, Al-Jahra vs Al-Sahel, and Al-Qadisiya vs Yarmouk.

Concluding the draw, the U-13 Federation Cup in the Al-Baraem category showcased matchups like Al-Arabi vs Sulaibikhat, Al-Nasr vs Kazma, Al-Sahel vs Al-Shabab, and Al-Qadisiya vsYarmouk. It’s worth noting that all age-level competitions will be conducted in a knockout system, promising exciting and competitive basketball matches.
