KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: The stage is set for an exciting conclusion to the Volleyball Federation Championship, as Kuwait Club and Qadsia clash in the final at 7:00 p.m. at the Volleyball Federation Hall in Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. Earlier, at 5:00 p.m., Kazma will face Burgan in the third-place playoff.

In the semifinals, Kuwait Club swept Burgan 3–0, while Qadsia overcame Kazma 3–1 to set up a high-stakes final.

Qadsia enters the final eager to capture its first title of the new season, after finishing the previous campaign empty-handed. The team’s last triumph came in the 2023–2024 Federation Cup, and both club management and fans are hoping for a strong start to the new season. Qadsia’s confidence is bolstered by its earlier 3–1 victory over Kuwait Club in the group stage and the consistent form shown throughout the tournament.

Led by Serbian coach Siniša, the “Yellow” side features Brazilian professionals Uveiro and Milo, alongside a balanced lineup of experienced veterans and emerging young players.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Club aims to continue its golden run after a highly successful 2024–2025 season, during which it captured the Super Cup, the Cup Championship, and the League title. Under the leadership of Brazilian coach Carlos Schwanke, the defending champions are determined to kick off the new season with another trophy. The squad features Estonian star Oliver Venno, Canadian standout Nicholas Hoag, and a core of seasoned Kuwaiti players.

The championship followed a single round-robin format with nine participating clubs: Al-Kuwait, Qadsia, Kazma, Arabi, Burgan, Shabab, Sulaibikhat, Nasr, and Yarmouk.

After the conclusion of the tournament, the Kuwait national volleyball team will begin preparations for the Arab Challenge Cup, to be held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from November 28 to December 8, followed by the start of the National League in December.
