Kuwait Club extends perfect run in the handball league

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: Kuwait Club continued its dominant run in the 58th edition of the Handball Premier League, securing a ninth consecutive victory to maintain a perfect 18-point record. Its latest triumph came against Al-Qadsia, winning 30–25 at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex, in the conclusion of the ninth round.

The round also featured Kazma defeating Al-Sulaibikhat 33–28. Earlier matches saw Burgan beat Al-Salmiya 30–21, while Al-Arabi overcame Al-Nasr 35–23. Following these results, the Premier League handball standings are:

Kuwait Club– 18 points

Kazma – 13 points

Burgan – 10 points

Al-Qadsia – 8 points

Al-Arabi – 8 points

Al-Sulaibikhat – 7 points

Al-Salmiya – 6 points

Al-Nasr – 2 points

The current season is structured in three phases (home – away – home) with eight teams competing in the Premier League, and features a promotion and relegation system to maintain competitiveness between the top two divisions.

The tenth round of the second phase is scheduled for tomorrow and the day after, with Kazma facing Al-Qadsia, Al-Salmiya taking on Kuwait Club, Burgan playing Al-Nasr, and Al-Sulaibikhat clashing with Al-Arabi to close the round.
